Hospica is a Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) for patient care and hospital management. Hospica automates financial, administrative and patient care activities of hospital, generates extensive management reports, and operational statistics. It generates as well as maintains Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and makes it available across the hospitals.
The system is most beneficial to those who are in need of help. The patient tracking system allows the doctors to view medical history of the patient. This tool provides summary overview and detailed diagnosis conducted previous, the current health of the patient and the administration of daily medicine and its results. This system does not only allow the patient to be tracked in one department, it also inculcates the patients with multiple doctors and departments.
The patient billing module provides comprehensive coverage of all the billing related matters and generates bills based on services being provided in the hospital. The billing module calculates the value for room rents, diagnostics, pharmacy, procedures and accounts.
Provides comprehensive data pertaining to admission of patients & ward management such as; Availability of beds with room & ward management, Emergency admission, Admission cost estimation, Admission approval, Doctors transfer detail, Nursing notes, Drug request, Discharge notification summary, Doctors Visit & Orders, Expected date and time of discharge.
Serves as an entry point to schedule an appointment, and includes; Consultation duty roster, Diagnosis details, Patients appointments, Daily/weekly schedule summary, Appointment scheduling & re-scheduling facility, Investigation/treatment history.
The Laboratory module covers the most complex functions relating to; Test Definition, Integration with Patient, Test Booking & Registration; Sample Collection Order, Sample Collection from IPD, Cash Sale Counter, Result Entry (Integrated / Manual), Offline Reporting, 24x7x365 Online availability of reports, Historical reports of patients.
The radiology module with complex functions has been designed to cater for; Test Definition, Test Booking & Registration, Cash Sale Counter, Result Entry, Offline Reporting and integration with machines.
The pharmacy has been designed such that it is a highly flexible system. It caters to all the live functions of the pharmacy and is capable of recording sales, returns, partial returns, returns in payment from patients and from suppliers. In addition, the benevolence fund feature is capable of allotting free medicine to the needy patients. The pharmacy system manages inventory for all stock keeping units and all categories of selling units. It has been designed to work with multiple POS and branched stores (satellite pharmacy).
The Appointment Scheduling enables the reception to fix an appointment for the patient with the doctors they want as per specialization required by checking doctor’s availability. Effective scheduling technique makes proper utilization of Doctor’s time and reduces waiting time of patients. This module includes provision to set doctor’s available timings, easy doctor’s search as per the specialization required, patient can request for online appointment, and doctor’s occupancy report can be seen in detail.
The Doctors module is basically an entry point for hospital doctors / consultant doctors to diagnose the patient, assign test and treatment procedures and generate prescriptions for them. Doctors can also record patient symptoms, allergies and suggest medication details. This module includes and allows Doctors to view all their appointments booked, List of outpatients and inpatient allocated under their care, Provision to diagnose and assign test, Prescription writer with pharmacy drug database access.
It’s a module provided to the nurses to manage their tasks with the single objective of better patient care. Flow of information from other clinical modules ensures that the nurses are well aware about each patient and given relevant information about them. This module includes Patient charting with patient’s assessment detail, vital signs and other nursing notes.
Wards & Room Management
This module manages all ward related information. Forms are available in this module to handle various categories like Wards entry, Room Types, Room Numbers and Beds. It also shows the color coded bed availability status and allows changing the status for Patient’s allocation as well.
Roster Management is for a list of employees who are working in the hospital on a given day, week, or month. It plans the workforce to improve overall productivity of the hospital. These rosters are linked to the payroll of the hospital.
Doctor’s Accounting constitutes the doctor’s share calculation for the patients diagnosed or treated. These are strongly linked to the patient appointment schedules, charge masters, patient charges, patient ledgers, cash receipts, journal and general ledgers.
